Education Tests: |
Assessing Child Education:
Right2Learn Education provide a series of online,
multi-choice tests geared towards identifying needs
regarding child education. The tests apply to children
in Primary school years 1 to 6 in the subjects of English,
Maths and Science.
All questions are designed by qualified and experienced
teachers, and validated by a second group of teachers.
All tests comprise 60 questions in total and are completed
in sections, each usually taking between 10 to 20 minutes
to complete.
Questions measure the achievement of key objectives
within the national curriculum for each subject.
Upon completion, parents or teachers may download a
copy of a personalised certificate for the child and
a statistical report which identifies the objectives
assessed and attained.
Each completed assessment may then be reviewed with
the child via the “view tests” feature,
which allows teachers, parents and children to view
the question and answers given, and to access our dedicated
teacher notes for each question to develop further learning.

|
| Registration process: |
| For registration we require parents’ name, email
and telephone details via the registration link on our
homepage. Once this form is completed a unique Username
and Password is allocated to the parent along with details
of how to purchase tests, and how to access the demonstration
page.
Parents are also required to enter a postcode and county,
which enables the Username and Password to be linked
to the list of results within the same region. This
ensures that your child’s results are compared
with those of other children within the same geographic
area, as well as nationally.
Children may remain anonymous throughout the process.
During registration, children will be recorded as “Child
1” and “Child 2” etc, with the parent
being requested to enter the school year and a Username
and Password for each child.
Parents may replace the “Child 1” title
if they wish, as the name that appears in this field
is the name that will be displayed in the certificate
upon completion of tests.
Parents may prefer to wait until the tests are completed
and then amend the name temporarily via “Update
my details” to allow them to enter the child’s
name for the certificate, before changing it back to
“Child 1”.
Registration is completed via a separate form for schools
or parents. Click on relevant link below to register.

Registration results in the allocation of an account
to the parent or school, which will include a unique
Username and Password.
Allocation of an account does not form a contract or
legally bind you to purchase Right2Learn Education tests.
An account is required before Right2Learn Education
tests may be purchased. |
|
| Purchase of tests: |
| Parents: |
| Tests may be purchased by parents for one or more children
individually or in groups for single subjects (eg: Maths
only) or for all 3 subjects. Tests are purchased via
My
Account and payment is taken via secure means online.
When purchasing a test you will be asked to confirm
the order and price before the payment procedure begins.
Payment requires confirmation via our secure banking
means (to protect you against possible fraudulent use
of your credit card details)
Once payment is confirmed you will receive an email
from Right2Learn Education with confirmation of allocation
of the test to the relevant child’s account.
The specific test or tests is then available for your
child to complete once only within a 12 month period
from the date of the confirmatory email. |
|
| Schools: |
Tests may be purchased by schools for an individual
school year or the whole school.
Tests may only be purchased by schools as a group order,
within bands 1, 2 or 3 of our price structure.
Schools are required to indicate the class size on
purchase, which dictates the price banding and the number
of Usernames and Passwords allocated.
No personal details of any children are taken
for registration within schools.
Tests are purchased via My
Account and payment is taken following the issue
of a purchase order.
When purchasing a test you will be asked to confirm
the order and price before the payment procedure begins.
Once payment is confirmed the school will receive an
email from Right2Learn Education Limited with confirmation
of allocation of the tests to school account for the
relevant school year or years.
The specific test or tests are then available for the
child to complete once only within a 12 month period
from the date of the confirmatory email.
As Right2Learn Education does not take any
personal details of the children, schools are required
to keep their own record of which child takes the tests
using which specific Username and Password.
|
|
| Tests available: |
Tests for each primary year (1 to 6) are available
in Maths, English and Science.
|
|

the certificate and comparative report.
For customer protection, tests may only be purchased
via My

|
|
| Discounts: |
| Tests may be purchased individually or as part of a
package, which is subject to group discount. Right2Learn
Education reserves the right to vary or remove the group
discount at any stage in the future.
The tests must however be completed before
the 12 month contract period lapses.
All prices quoted are actual prices to be paid, inclusive
of VAT.
All price information is valid until March 2004. |
|
| Pricing for schools: |
| Schools are required to pay for the tests according
to the class sizes.
This is divided into 4 bands as follows:
Band 1: - 1 to 10
children per school year. (allocates 10 accounts for
the year when registered)
Band 2: - 11 to
40 children per school year. (allocates 40 accounts
for the year when registered)
Band 3: - 41 to
80 children per school year: (allocates 80 accounts
for the year when registered)
Band 4: - Over 80
children per school year: (allocates 120 accounts for
the year when registered)
Pricing according to 4 bands is as follows:
This is a scaled discounted rate to account for the
number of children taking the assessments.
No further discounts apply to schools. |
|
| Contract and cancellation rights: |
| Once an account is allocated to a parent or school after
registration, there is no obligation for either to purchase
any tests.
For the comparative results to maintain validity, each
test should only be taken once by any child. We reserve
the right to refuse allocation of the same test twice
for the same child.
We reserve the right to delete accounts where payment
details have not been confirmed. |
|
| Parents’ contracts: |
| Once tests are purchased they are automatically allocated
to the account for the relevant child. From this point
onwards, the parent or child is able to access the tests
freely via the use of the Username and Password, without
regard to Right2Learn Education.
As such, once an individual test is allocated and the
email sent to the parent, the test or tests are deemed
to be “unsealed” and the related contract
has begun.
This is binding to both parties.
This contract is valid for a 12 months period from
the date of the confirmatory email sent to you.
A new contract is formed with each subsequent email
that follows the purchase of other tests for the same
or other children via your account.
Each email dictates the start of the 12 month validity
period for the specific test or tests purchased.
Contracts for tests paid for and allocated may therefore
not be cancelled and no refunds will be given. A preview
of the type of questions in tests is given in the demo,
to enable parents/schools to familiarise themselves
with the service before purchase. |
|
| Schools’ contracts: |
| Although the payment means differs for schools, via
the use of invoices, once payment is confirmed all other
aspects of the contract remain the same as for parents.
A confirmatory email will be sent to schools, providing
the details of the tests allocated and how they may
be accessed.
At this point the tests are deemed to be unsealed
and the related contract formed.
This contract is valid for a 12 months period from
the date of the confirmatory email sent to the school.
A new contract is formed with each subsequent email
that follows the purchase of other tests for the same
or other children via your account.
Each email dictates the start of the 12 month validity
period for the specific test or tests purchased. |
|
| Covered within the contract: |
The contract for parents and schools for tests purchased
is that Right2Learn Education Limited will:
 |
|
Allow internet access to the test or tests purchased
in the subjects indicated for the given school year
or years for the number of children for whom they
are purchased. |
 |
|
Provide reasonable support to parents or schools,
such as advice regarding achieving access where
problems may relate to aspects of the account, for
example the Username or password. |
 |
|
Allow access to a certificate to be downloaded
for each child upon completion of each test. |
 |
|
Allow access to a statistical report for each
child, which relates the questions answered to specific
objectives from the national curriculum, and also
compares the results gained with those of other
children within the region and country. |
 |
|
Allow access to all of the above for a 12 month
period to begin on the date of the email sent to
confirm the formation of the contract for the particular
test or tests. |
|
|
| Not covered within the contract:
|
 |
|
All Right2Learn Education tests are delivered
online. Therefore, Right2Learn Education cannot
guarantee the specific dates or times when the service
will be available, or that there will be no loss
of internet communications or technical difficulties,
resulting in the loss of data. |
 |
|
Results are automatically sent to the Right2Learn
Education Limited database on completion of each
section. Loss of communications or the product part
way through a test will result in the child having
to complete the given section once again. |
 |
|
Tests are made available to children based on
the information given on registration, which is
taken by Right2Learn Education Limited in good faith.
|
 |
|
Right2Learn Education Limited cannot guarantee
the age of all children taking the tests, or that
their results were achieved without assistance.
|
 |
|
Right2Learn Education Limited tests are different
in format and content to formal national tests in
the given subjects. As such, the results cannot
be taken as an indicator of potential performance
in other tests, or be used as justification of educational
needs of children. |
 |
|
There is no guarantee of the number of children
that will have completed any given test. Although
there should always be sufficient numbers to enable
a national comparison, the regional comparison will
vary from county to county and may at times say
N/A. |
