Title: The Glade of Unicorns
Long ago there was a family who were walking through the wood happily together. Suddenly they saw a glade ahead with horses and unicorns playing nicely, and laughing joyfully. They decided not to disturb them. They crept away quietly and met a girl called Nessie. They took Nessie with them back to their palace in the countryside. Whilst they were walking Nessie told them why she was wondering alone. “I am looking for my lost horse called Spirit.” “We will help you find him” chorused the family. The next day they went back to the glade of unicorns and horses to ask for help. Nessie went slowly up to the smallest unicorn and she quietly asked him, “Have you seen Spirit my horse.” The smallest unicorn nodded and replied “Yes, he was stolen by Fritzle, Fritzle took Spirit to the south east and locked Spirit up.” Nessie asks the unicorn to fly her there. Shortly they arrived at Fritzle’s enormous castle. They followed the hoof prints made in the dirt by Spirit and reached where Spirit was locked up. Together they freed Spirit and the 3 friends trotted away back to the glade and they had a big party.

Title: The Mysterious Book
I turned the last page of the mysterious book and in small letters it said, “Jump in the book to come here!” I wondered if it was true. Unexpectedly, it started raining so I jumped up and sprinted home not noticing the puddle. I slipped. SPLASH! Down and down I fell - BUMP! I landed and clutched my head. WOW! There was a tree with pink leaves and another with a door in it! I stumbled towards the door. It needed a code. I leant against the bark to think and a carving suddenly appeared: 31790 - the code! The door creaked open. The walls were like dark chocolate. The floor was a bouncy cushion. I saw two green faces staring at me: Bob and Bobbie from the story! They were stuck in a net. “Help us! Please!” they shrieked. I found a shiny knife and cut the twisty ropes. Once freed they spun around the room, then bellowed, “If you want to go home touch that mirror three times, if not, stay here with us!” I thought about it - then touched the mirror and in a flash was back home. “What an adventure!” I whispered

Title: The Time Vortex
The space journey had begun. Joe pressed his overjoyed face to the starship’s window as it rose majestically into space. The earth was disappearing. It was a truly beautiful planet. Slowly, his concentration slipped from the earth towards the oncoming stars. Neptune appeared out of the darkness, with its obscure rings of meteors. His jaw dropped in awe as it zipped past him. Suddenly a huge swirling vortex appeared. Not just a vortex. A time vortex. He had heard about these. Space ships were whirled into its fury, never to return. They would survive forever, and never escape the endless darkness. He was flung round and round inside the ship. He went out cold. When he forced open his eyelids, the ship was going smoothly. But something was strange. There were no stars in the foreboding darkness. Everything came flooding back. He was inside the time vortex. He had no fate now. He was to live forever but never see life again. Fighting the pain, he stumbled over to the controls. Steering the ship around, he saw stars. He sped towards them but did not get any closer. He was helpless. All he could do was speed towards fake stars.

Title: The Remains of HMS Mary Rose
Dear Diary 8-12-2010 Today was such an exiting day. When I was on my way to my friend’s house, I took a short-cut through the woods. Within these woods I found remains of HMS Mary Rose and a fossil. So I sprinted home and explained to my mother how I found these. Although I was forbidden for going into the woods I had to tell her about my find. At this time I did not know what the ship remains were from. Later on my Mum booked a spot to show the museum owners the historical remains. At 13:30pm we took a journey to the museum. We convinced them to come to the woods and collect the remains. This is the time when they told me that the boat remains were from the HMS Mary Rose and the fossil was called a belemnite. The historians took the remains and offered me a £100 pounds. Although it was tempting to take I turned it down and said no because it was a great day!
