The recent announcement by Education Secretary Michael Gove to reverse the decision to introduce “no notice” school inspections appears to have met with as much heated debate and controversy as the original plan, which would have allowed inspectors to turn up unannounced at school gates from September 2012 in order to begin an inspection the same day.
