My first piano exam!

The Best Day Ever? It was today. Today was the one. I was petrified. I had my first piano exam. Although you may think I'd be excited, I'm terrified! Yesterday I had my mock exam - which is a practice. I got my music prepared and we set off. When I arrived at my exam location, I said goodbye to my Mum and my teacher and went in! My first pieces went really well but then the moment I was dreading came to me. This was piece was the one that wasn't good yesterday. I opened the book and lay my fingers over the keys. As the examiner counted me in, I played the first few notes and I realised - it was going ok!!! I reached the end of the piece feeling very proud of myself. I finished of my exam and skipped out of the room feeling extremely happy! A few weeks later I received my results! I found out I'd got a distinction! I didn't know how good that mark was but when I found out that was the best, I felt brilliant!!! I went to bed that night exhausted but more than happy. That was today. Today was the best!
