The Big Freeze!
CW - Year 6
The Best Day Ever - Dragging myself out of bed and splashing freezing water over my sleepy face. Suddenly my mum burst in.
"Look out the window," she told me. When I did I saw the most beautiful landscape ever. Each blade of grass had sparkling blanket of snow. The old withered trees didn't look so tired and sad. A terrible thought drifted over me I really wanted to make a snow man with a crooked orange nose hanging limply on the front of his face, although I had to go to: SCHOOL. My heart sank in disbelief; no way would it be closed. I went down stairs and took a bite out my warm-ish toast.
"And the Wheldrake school is closed," Blasted the radio. YES!!! I jumped up and ran around the house. (Even my dogs thought I was bonkers). After I got dressed and went outside to play. The joyful numbness was spreading through my happy body but I didn't care it was just so fun!!!!!! The air was filled with thrill and excitement as I trudged back to the house. The news was calling this the "Big Freeze" I'd call this the "Best Freeze!"
