The sun beat down on my head...

FR - Year 6

The best day ever? The sun beat down on my head as I walked slowly down across the soft yellow sand granules towards the glinting turquoise ocean. The feel of the sand beneath my bare feet and the sound of the waves out to sea made a calm and relaxed sensation fill my body. As I reached the water I could see my mum attempting to body-board. She was like a stranded whale hovering about in the water waiting for the tide to change; I can't describe how funny it was! I decided to get away from the noise of the holiday makers and tourists and have a swim a way out to sea. But before I could put a toe in the water, my dad called me back over to where our parasol and sun lounger was. I ran through the sand causing a whole load of sand to scatter every where, consequently showering a few tourists in sand; I laughed and ran on. By accident, I ran in the opposite direction and off towards a huge sand dune that towered over part of the beach. As I ran round the side of it I saw something that made me feel so delighted?
