One day in Spring
RS - Year 2
One day in Spring I saw, a Greenfinch in my birdhouse. Later on that day I looked out of my house and saw another greenfinch in exactly the same place! I was very surprised when I saw it wasn't frightened of me. I asked it if I could ride on its back. The greenfinch said, "Yes, you may." I was so happy I hugged it with joy. I climbed on its back and we took off into the sky. It was really exciting up in the sky. When we got back down to the ground, I said "Let's be friends". We were really good friends together. I asked the greenfinch if I could make a nest with her in my garden. The greenfinch said yes. We worked really, really hard on the nest. After lunch we played in my paddling pool and I let the little greenfinch come in with me. We played my favourite game in my paddling pool that was really warm. I let the greenfinch borrow my rubber ring because he was sinking and it was quite deep. Finally he managed to scramble up onto the rubber ring. He loved it because it was very, very green.
