The Greatest Adventurist Ever
JF - Year 6
What an adventure. The sun set behind the trees in the distance. It was late afternoon maybe about five o’clock at night. Other than the cawing birds, everywhere was quiet ,the silence was broken and a rusty military helicopter flew overhead. Inside lay possibly the greatest adventurist ever, Jim. He had just been to the Amazon, on his latest adventure to recover the Golden Book. Jim had risked everything he had to recover the book, he had been attacked by loads of wild animals. Jim had three big holes in his leg where an anaconda had savaged him, he now had a cold flannel over his face. The pilot was a old British man who could drive any vehicle. Out of the blue a loud churning noise started coming from the propellers, one of the propellers snapped clean off and went tumbling down towards the jungle. The helicopter lurched forward towards the dense jungle. Startled, Jim woke up and quickly took the co-pilot seat. The helicopter came crashing through the trees scaring loads of monkeys. A group of minibuses drove towards them with tourists onboard, they were going to the airport and they had two spare seats to share.
