Entries
- Right2Learn story writing competitions are open to children in Primary year groups 1 to 6, except of employees of the promoter, their families and anyone else directly involved in the administration of this promotion.
- Entries MUST be submitted directly via the Right2Learn website competitions page, either within the entry form or as an attachment.
- Entries will not be accepted via any other format.
- Only one entry per child per competition.
- The guidelines for entries are listed on the page via which stories are submitted. Right2Learn's decisions regarding whether or not to accept entries that do not entirely meet the guidelines are final.
- Entries will be shortlisted by Right2Learn Limited and displayed for voting.
- The authorising parent, guardian or school of entrants agree that the child's name (first name only) or initials will be displayed, together with the school name and story for shortlisted entries for voting purposes.
- Right2Learn Limited decisions regarding shortlisted entries are final.
- As entries are made online, the criteria for shortlisting of entries relate more to the level of interest of the story rather than punctuation or level of grammatical correctness.
- Entrants are responsible for submitting story entries without reference to material created by third parties and without infringing the copyright of any other person. The authorising parent, guardian or school of the entrant agrees to indemnify Right2Learn Limited against any liabilities that it may incur and all claims that may be made against the Company and all related costs and expenses that it may incur as a result of breach by the entrant of these undertakings.
- Copyright (and any other intellectual property rights) in all material created by entrants for the competition is to belong to Right2Learn Limited. The authorising parent, guardian or school of the entrant agrees to take any action that Right2Learn Limited may reasonably require in order to vest such rights in Right2Learn Limited or to confirm the ownership of those rights by Right2Learn Limited.
Voting
- Winners are voted for by visitors to the site from the shortlisted entries between the dates listed.
- Voters must be aged 18 or over.
- Only one vote per household will be accepted.
- All voters are subject to these terms and conditions, regardless of whether or not their vote is verified.
- Voters must confirm their vote by email, as explained on each voting page, in order to prevent spurious voting.
- All votes not confirmed via email, as shown on the page after the vote is registered, will be deleted and not included in the competition.
- Right2Learn reserves the right to refuse the votes from any party where it is believed the voting process is being abused. For example, if the same person appears to be attempting to make several votes, using different email addresses, or false email addresses.
- Right2Learn reserves the right to adapt the voting process at any time, including during competition voting, in order to rectify any issues that may arise, such as abuse of the voting by certain individuals.
- Right2Learn reserves the right to exclude a child's entry from the voting process and remove the story from the website, where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the entry has been subject to excessive false voting, such as the use of false email addresses.
- The authorising parent, guardian or school of entrants agree that the child's name, school name and story of winning entries will be displayed via the Right2Learn website.
- Right2Learn Limited reserves the right to stop the competition at any time in the future, vary the entry and/or voting periods, or alter the prizes awarded.
