Winners of Short Story Writing Competition - September 2010

08 Sep 2010

In our first short story writing competition, children between the ages of 5 and 11 were invited to submit their entries online to Right2Learn, on the theme of "The best day ever..."

All entries were then displayed in their age groups on the Right2Learn website, and visitors to the site were invited to vote for their favourites in each year group.

Sponsored by Waterstones, the prizes for the entry in each year include £20 in book vouchers for the child and £40 in vouchers for their school.

There is also a £100 book voucher prize for one of the voters, randomly selected.

We are delighted to display the winning entries here>>

As with the last competition, the winning children will receive £20 in book vouchers. The school of the child whose entry receives the most votes overall from the whole competition will win a new laptop!

Due to the obvious success of the competition, we are also pleased to announce that we have launched a new competition, under the theme of: "What an adventure!"

Good luck for the next competition. We hope to gain as many entries as possible and that this will be an even greater success than the last competition.

Finally, all members of the team from Right2Learn would like to say "WELL DONE TO THE WINNERS, AND ALSO TO THEIR PARENTS AND SCHOOLS."
