Vote for your favourite short story and win a prize!
14 Jun 2010
View the entries for the right2learn children's short story writing competition here, and vote for your favourite!
Voters are invited to nominate their favourite entry online for each year group (1 to 6) before 16 July 2010.
The entry in each year group with the most votes after the closing date will receive £20 in book vouchers for the child, and £40 in book vouchers for the school.
Only one vote is permitted per visitor to the website for each year group. You can of course encourage your family and friends to vote too!
As prizes are awarded for the most popular entries, votes are verified via a confirmation email.
One voter will be randomly selected from the votes made, and will win £100 in book vouchers!
As we are keen to encourage children further with creative writing, we have already opened the next story writing competition for year groups 1 to 6, with the heading "What an adventure". We welcome all entries, and hope to upload even more next time for readers to enjoy. We also believe children will enjoy seeing their own story on the website! The prizes for next competition include a laptop for the school of the child who receives the most votes overall."
The right2learn short story competitions are open to all children in year groups 1 to 6 and are free to enter. These are in addition to the online Maths and English tests delivered to children, to which parents may subscribe from just £10 a month.
We hope you enjoy reading the entries from the competition, and look forward to reading your children's entries for the next one!
